diskpart clean command wipes truecrypt volume

Today accidentally i flushed the truecrypt encrypted volume on my external USB harddrive using the "diskpart" by executing the "clean" command.

I successfully recovered the partition table using the "testdisk" utility and brought back all the lost information's.

The 1 TB external harddisk has 931 GB as a normal partition and rest of the free space as a truecrypt volume.

Instead of selecting the pendrive i accidentally selected the external harddrive and flushed the partition information using the diskpart.

Following steps helped me recover.

1.   run testdisk
2.   choose to create a log file
3.   choose the disk that you ran clean on
4.   choose intel
5.   choose analyze
6.   choose quick search
7.   confirm to proceed
8.   testdisk should find the deleted partition
9.   confirm to save the partition table.
10. Restart the computer

After reboot, I went into the disk management by executing the command "diskmgmt.msc" from Run dialog box.

I was able to see the two lost partition. The truecrypt volume was showing as "unallocated".

 Follow the steps to recover.

Right-click the unallocated volume.

Choose New Simple Volume from the shortcut menu.

1. The New Simple Volume Wizard appears. Click the Next button.

2. On the "Specify Volume Size" screen do not alter anything. click next

3. On the "Assign Drive Letter or Path" screen choose the last option "Do not assign a drive letter or drive path" and click next.

4. On the "Format Partition" screen Choose the first option "Do not format the volume" and click next

5. Click finish

You will be able to see the unallocated partition showing as RAW / Healthy. 

Open Truecrypt and mount the encrypted volume. 

For some reason truecrypt keep telling the password was wrong while i try to mount the volume.

It let me in after 5 password attempts.

send email with attachment from linux command line

You can send email with attachment from linux command line using uuencode. Make sure you have the package installed.

Command:

(echo "Please find the attached log"; uuencode /tmp/todaylogs.zip todaylogs.zip;) | mail -s "Server logs" someone@mycompany.com


The command structure:

(echo "Email body"; uuencode attachment-file new-attachment-filename-or-same-name-as-source;) | mail -s "Subject" someone@mycompany.com

It started with a fever. I was doing OK with my penis until i had the tablets prescribed by the doctor for treatment who running a clinic near my house. The doctor prescribed couple of lab test to make sure the fever is not due to any serious viruses.He prescribed few tablets to take for next 2 days until the lab results show up.
The actual problem started here.

The 2nd day afternoon, While I was sleeping at home, i have started getting itchy feeling inside my penis. It was ever in my life my penis went that bad. When i pulled back my foreskin, it started paining like anything.The tip of the skin dry and cracked.

A cheese like substance covered my penis. It was hard to clean, sticky. After spent some couple of minutes i can able to see the skin of my penis, it was totally reddish, burning, full of rashes.

I did not realize how seriously it is going to affect my day to day life. I thought the problem will disappear in few days while i recovering from the fever.


The days started progressing forward very quick with no improvement on the penis.

I went to a Urologist. He examined my past results and the current penis condition declaring am Diabetic. I walked out from the hospital with the prescription printed with Diabetic tablets and recommendations on food style.

I have tried every tips said on the internet. Nothing changed a bit.

Something strikes me strongly that i should give it a try. Since i am a strong believer in our Tamil ancient heritage, I walked to the store and bought the fruit sold dried and powdered. It cost just Rupees 15 a 100gram packet.

Before going to bed, took a spoon full of powder mixed in a cup of plain water. It was too sour and managed the hard taste with a bottle of water.

It was around 6:30 AM while i woke up from the bed to go for a pee. I came back to bed trying to sleep again. I felt something changed on my penis. Pushed my hands under my pants, pulled back my penis foreskin slowly.

I felt no pain !!!

I woke up from the bed started examining the tip of my penis. It was totally moisturized. The dryness totally disappeared. At the same time, I got dysentery. i rushed to the restroom thrice in a hour but stopped after that. I had a fruit juice on the morning and left to office. The day went smooth.

My wife was not at home at that time. She was at her Mom's house for a week. I called her mobile and told what was happened. She did not believed because, in the past, whenever i try a new tips from the internet, I used to tell her that am seeing a change but in reality there was no visible cure.

I started having the remedy drink twice a day for the next two days.
After three days, Believe it or not, My penis back to normal like anything. The head of the penis become moisturized, looked shiny and no rashes.

While my wife already back to home, she was surprised but still afraid that the problem might come back. I started experimenting the foods one by one. Started with the KFC, then Pizzas, Sub, bakery items, etc etc. I am completely OK now.

The only discomfort with the remedy i followed is the Dysentery. It is not like a dysentery but it has a tendendancy to loose the stool. if you overdose you might get a dysentery like feeling.

Pregnant women and children's below 15 should not try this.

I have found many people saying that they living with this problem for many years and some people living with it for more than 10 years. I was lost hope while reading those people stories but never stopped looking for a solution.
