The following settings resolved the downgraded image quality experienced in Firefox.
1. Type about:config in the firefox address bar as shown below.
2. It will ask for the confirmation. click the button to confirm.
3. Type gfx in the Filter box
4. Double click the gfx.color_management.mode and set the value to 0 as shown above.
